Loïc Dessaint – Chief Governance Officer

Serving for more than 20 years in the fields of proxy voting, Corporate Governance, ESG and active stewardship, Loïc Dessaint is a reputed corporate governance expert.

He has been Chief Governance Officer of Proxinvest since July 2021.

A graduate of Sciences-Po Lille (Economics-Finance) and of Master of International Financial Analyst from the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires de Lille. Loic Dessaint joined Proxinvest in 2001 as a financial analyst. He became Associate Director in 2005 in charge of Research, voting policies, the ECGS international partnership, IT solutions and services related to threshold monitoring and shareholder engagement. He was Proxinvest’ Chief Executive Officer from 2014 to 2021 and then decided to take the leadership of Proxinvest new activities (Head of European research & Active Ownership support).

– Director of the Forum Pour l’Investissement Responsable (French SIF)

– Member of the Investors consultative Commission (Autorité des marchés Financiers – AMF)

– Member of the technical committee of the shareholder engagement fund Phitrust Active Investors,

– Member of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN)

Regularly nominated among the “Best analyst for Corporate Governance Research” in the Extel-SRI Connect market survey “The Independent Research in Responsible Investment Survey” (6th in 2012, 6th in 2013, 1st in 2014, 3rd in 2015, 5th in 2016). »
