PROXINVEST, a French independent Proxy firm, supporting the engagement and proxy analysis processes of investors and a leader in listed corporate governance analysis, announces the appointment of Christophe Nijdam as Head of European Research and of Marc Serafini as a Director – Head of business development.
Christophe NIJDAM
Christophe NIJDAM joins PROXINVEST as head of European research at ECGS (EXPERT CORPORATE GOVERNANCE SERVICE) starting January 2019. ECGS is a joint-venture managed by PROXINVEST. ECGS is a unique partnership of local corporate governance and voting experts, covering c.500 listed companies.
A Sciences Po Paris graduate, he also studied in an Executive Education program in Finance at New York University (Stern School of Business).
He has been in turns a banker in the US in the eighties, equity analyst during the Subprime crisis, head of a European NGO specialized in post-crisis financial regulations, member of the stakeholders’ groups at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and the European Banking Authority (EBA). He is currently a board director of the French defense association of minority shareholders (Association de Défense des Actionnaires Minoritaires, ADAM). Also involved in the academic world and financial education, he has been a finance lecturer at Sciences Po Paris for eighteen years and is currently a board director of the French institute for financial education of the public (Institut pour l’Education Financière du Public, IEFP, better known through its educational website “La finance pour tous”).
Marc SERAFINI
Marc SERAFINI joins PROXINVEST as a Director – Head of Business Development starting January 2019. Marc is responsible for promoting PROXINVEST and ECGS (EXPERT CORPORATE GOVERNANCE SERVICE) range of products and services targeting new customers in France and abroad.
Marc is a graduate of ESCP Business School in Market finance in 1991 and of the Paris Dauphine University with a Master degree (DESS 224) for the Management of banking and financial institutions in 1994.
Marc has a 25 year experience in business development and head of Business development responsibilities in asset management and financial markets institutions, both in France and abroad. Before joining PROXINVEST in january 2019, Marc was a Director – Head of business development for EGAMO (VYV Group) in Paris.
